I researched the different power supplies offered by Cloudray. My question is:
What are the differences between the series?

  • MYJG
  • HY-T
  • HY-ES
  • HY-Z
  • HY-DY

The price range is ~100 - ~200 USD. They seem to have the same technical spec. So what puts them apart? Is there some feature, function or quality difference between them?


For sake of discussion, let’s assume the following tube: Reci, W2

  • max power = 100 W
  • target power = 90 W
  • max current = 28 mA
  • recommended current = 24 mA
  • Ignition Voltage = 19 kV

Reci recommends a power supply with the following specification for a W2 tube:

  • max. voltage = 40 kV
  • max. current = 28 mA

Which power supply to choose and why compared to the same power supply of another series?
