I want to engrave light saber hilts made of aluminum mostly and occasionally brass. I’m trying to decide today before the sale ends tonight on which to buy the MP-60 or the MP-100. I envision doing this on a rotary with the hilts assembled to make sure the patterns match up across connection seams. point is that means they could be 10-12 inches in length which is wider than the standard 220mm. So a couple of question i know i cant answer and i’m sure there are a lot i should be asking but dont know to ask.

I see the lens option to increase the are to 300mm. What effect does that have on power as far as it pertains to 60vs100 as a choice. Can I stall use the 60W on a 300mm field and still get 0-1.5mm depth on aluminum?

the cloudray recommendation for 60vs100 says 60 does better precision and better color but I’m not sure what the actual difference in precision is or if it will matter for non-photo engraving. I plan to engrave some intricate patterns but not actual photo renditions if that makes sense.
Any thing else I should care about but havent asked?
