I am having trouble getting my rotary set up. It makes the initial marks but when the rotary moves the piece the laser engraves over what was previously done. I have tried setting the steps per rotation at 12800 and 25600 and get the same result. I have also checked and double checked the diameter of the work piece. I have also tried changing the split size up and down and get the same results.
Any help is appreciated, thanks!
Update: I can get engraving to not overlap by changing “split size” below 1mm, but it warps the text to be very tall and narrow. So I am closer but still need help.
Did figure out steps are 12800, makes a perfect complete rotation on test at that setting.
Smaller line intervals help but still compressed along axis of rotation
