6442g Controller loses settings after power up

I have seen similar posts here, but none of the solutions have worked for me.

I am running a new RDC6442g. On startup, the control panel defaults to a bed size of 10,000 x 10,000 and does not auto home. I can manually home the x and y axes and resend the setting from the control software every time I turn the laser on to get things working, but this is not an acceptable long-term solution.

I have tried resetting to the factory settings, turning on the computer and the software before turning on the laser, setting and uploading the parameters with both RD Works v8 and Lightburn. Same problem every time.

Am I missing something?

I left the laser alone overnight and went back to it this morning. Surprisingly, on startup, the machine automatically set the X and Y axis as it was set to do. Maybe it just needed a good night’s sleep.

For some reason it then decided to move slowly to the bottom left corner despite the machine settings in the software telling it to datum at the top right. Resending the machine settings from Lightburn fixed this. I will wait and see it the settings continue to stay put after another night without use.
