Ruida RDC6445G Controller / Stepper Fault

Hi All,

Thanks for taking the time to read my post.

I have a 100mm x 60mm 100W CO2 Laser machine where intermittently the laser head will not progress along either the X or Y axis when part way through a job meaning it just cuts along the same line over and over again. The display indicates that the job is progressing as normal.

When the fault happens an error light is indicated on the X or Y stepper motor.

Has anyone had this happen or have any ideas?

I have replaced the controller power supply and the stepper motor power supply already.

Ruida RDC6445G(EC) Controller
X and Y axis Digital Stepping Driver - FOYO FYQM4042A
Z axis Digital Stepping Driver - More Sea DM560L
Hanpose 17HS4401S stepper motors.

The video you provided is not very clear
If the controller warning light is always on, then there is a problem with the corresponding driver;
If it only flickers, it should be a problem with the corresponding component.

Thanks for the information. I will check this tomorrow as the problem is becoming more common

Hi Polaris,
I am having trouble finding the same brand motor and driver, can they be substituted with another brand? Do you have any recommendations?
